Anyone paying for parking in Bank Park car parks has played their part in raising an incredible £84,122 so far to support families going through the toughest of times.
Bank Park is a fair parking scheme that helps local businesses and charities by making a donation for each car parked in any of 11 Bank Park locations in Chesterfield, Dinnington, Doncaster, Dronfield, Mansfield, Rotherham, Sheffield and further afield. Since 2012 these donations have raised £71,822 for Bluebell Wood, with another £12,300 raised through Bluebell Wood clothing banks in some Bank Park car parks.
Drivers at Bank Parks will soon be able to pay by mobile phone as the company is about to launch a ‘pay by text’ service for those who don’t have cash or would prefer to use a text service.
Customers can donate bags of clothes, shoes, books and bric-a-brac in the Bluebell Wood clothing banks, to be sold at Bluebell Wood’s nine shops around the region. Each bag helps to make around £15 for Bluebell Wood.
Rachael Dawes, Corporate Fundraising Manager, Bluebell Wood: “We’re incredibly impressed at the amount Bank Park, and drivers using their car parks, have helped to raise for Bluebell Wood so far. This just goes to show a day out shopping or an evening out can also help a great cause if you choose a ‘Pay & Give’ car park.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Bank Park for all their support and for the donations that car park users have made to our clothing banks too, which have helped to raise even more funds to help our families make special memories together.”
