Bluebell Wood benefits from partnership between Frankie & Benny’s and Together for Short Lives

Family-friendly restaurant chain, Frankie & Benny’s will be teaming up with Bluebell Wood, after choosing Together for Short Lives, which supports seriously ill children and their families across the UK, as their charity partner for 2017.

255 Frankie & Benny’s restaurants across the country will be fundraising for their local children’s hospice and seven of these will be partnering with Bluebell Wood for the coming year, including restaurants in Mansfield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield and Meadowhall.

Money raised by the restaurant’s staff and customers will help the hospice care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions; and their families.

Bluebell Wood supports families across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. This includes end of life care, short breaks, music therapy, counselling, sibling support, home visits and more.

Rachael Dawes, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re thrilled that Frankie & Benny’s have chosen to fundraise for Together for Short Lives by supporting their local children’s hospices.

“Our partnership with Frankie & Benny’s will help us create more special memories for the 250 families we support. We can’t wait to work with the restaurant chain to make 2017 a success.”

Spencer Ayres, Managing Director at Frankie and Benny’s said: “Frankie and Benny’s has a strong tradition of supporting charities over the years and we are delighted to be joining forces with Together for Short Lives.

“To begin a partnership with a charity that touches so many lives is one that I’m extremely proud of and is a cause the whole team at Frankie’s will be behind. We can’t wait to see the efforts of our team and the generosity of our guests improving lives during the most challenging of times.”
