Bluebell Wood choir warms up for traditional carols

Singers from Bluebell Wood’s very own choir are warming up their vocal cords for an evening of local and traditional carols in Sheffield.Bluebell Wood choir rehearses for Christmas carol concert

The Jack Goodison Local Carol Concert will be led by Stannington Mixed Choir performing carols from Jack Goodison’s 1992 ‘Red Book’, and include the choirs of Nook Lane Junior School and Fox Valley Voices.

All proceeds from the concert at Lomas Hall, Church Street, Stannington on Friday 24 November will be going to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, which supports children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions across South Yorkshire.

Gail Parkin, Community Fundraiser, Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re delighted that Bluebell Wood choir has been asked to take part in this popular annual event. It’s great for us to be involved and I’m sure it will be a fantastic evening for singers and audience alike. Every penny raised will help Bluebell Wood to do even more for families facing the toughest of times.”

The Jack Goodison Local Carol Concert will start at 7.15pm on Friday 24 November.

Advance ticket prices are £5 adults and £4 concessions, with accompanied under 12s free. On the door prices will be £6 & £5.
