The Entertainer, the fastest-growing multichannel high street toy retailer in the UK, will open its new Sheffield store on Saturday 12th November at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre. The toy retailer, who has seen profits soar in the last five years, is bucking the current trend across the retail industry and has plans to open further stores across the UK before the end of 2016.
The 3,000 sqft Sheffield store, will provide choic e for families shopping at the popular centre, in addition to creating many new jobs in the area. Children stepping into The Entertainer will be transported into a world of wonder, surrounded by all their favourite toys plus friendly staff will be on hand to help guide families around the new store. The Entertainer will have special appearances from Lego Ninjago’s Kai and Lloyd along with The Entertainer’s very own Jack throughout the day, along with plenty of fun in-store demos of the latest toys, gift card competitions and special seasonal promotions.
The store will also celebrate its grand opening with a special trolley dash undertaken by children who have been supported by local charity, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. The hospice cares for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions.
They are currently supporting around 250 families, both in our hospice and in family homes.
Support services are bespoke to each family; including end of life treatment and care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much more.
It costs more than £4m to keep the hospice doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. They receive around 10% of our funding from government sources.
David Hall, Corporate Fundraiser for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for two of our siblings to take part in a trolley dash. It’s every child’s dream to be let loose in a toy shop and allowed to grab as many toys as they can. Thank you to The Entertainer for this chance and the toys collected will definitely bring smiles to many faces.”
