Fancy a cycling adventure? Bluebell Wood is asking families to get on their bikes this September and pedal their way from Rother Valley Country Park to Poolsbrook Country Park and back.
Pedal 2 Poolsbrook will see up to 200 people cycling away on Sunday 3 September in support of the South Yorkshire charity that cares for families facing the toughest of times.
Open to children and adults, the 35 kilometre event will start at Rother Valley and then join the Trans Pennine Trail to the Staveley park. After cycling around Poolsbrook lake, the route returns to Rother Valley Country Park.
The fun won’t stop once people get off their bikes because a celebration is planned at the end, with a free barbecue and medals for all entrants and children presented with certificates.
Gail Parkin, Community Fundraiser, Bluebell Wood, said: “This is the perfect chance for South Yorkshire cyclists to take part in a fantastic bike challenge and help us make a difference to children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. At Bluebell Wood we help families to make special memories together and by taking part in this event, people will be giving us even more chances to do just that.”
