The Safestyle factory in Barnsley has given an impressive £10,000 to Bluebell Wood over the last 16 months.
Funds were raised for our hospice through a Tough Mudder, an annual charity raffle and by staff choosing the hospice as one of their annual charities for 2018.
Being one of the Wombwell glass-processing factory’s charities of the year means that Bluebell Wood will receive £2,500 and could win further grants of up to £500.
Steve Birmingham, Executive Director, Safestyle: “Safestyle has a long history of charitable giving and we are committed to helping worthwhile causes in our local communities. We are delighted to continue to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and hope that our donation will help them to continue the amazing work they do in supporting children and their families through such difficult times.”
Rachael Dawes, Corporate Fundraising Manager, Bluebell Wood, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Safestyle for doing so much for Bluebell Wood. This incredible amount will support children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions across South Yorkshire and beyond, and helps us provide the services that families facing the toughest of times need. These include sibling support groups, music therapy, arts and crafts, counselling, home visits, end of life treatment and care, and much more.”
