Branton Juniors Under 11s are doing some stellar fundraising for Bluebell Wood.
The boys’ football team, which reached the final of the Doncaster Junior League Cup last season, is busy raising as much as it can to help Bluebell Wood support children and young adults with life-threatening and life-shortening conditions.
Based at Hayfield School, Branton Juniors is getting the pennies rolling in by encouraging supporters to put their loose change in collection tins. Coach Adam Frost is also hoping to organise a race night and looking into setting up a tuck shop at his workplace.
Adam, who has coached the team since they were under-5s, said: “Bluebell Wood does some incredible work with families in really tough circumstances, both here in Doncaster and across the region. We just want to do our bit to help make a difference. If everyone who comes to cheer on the boys at their games gives a few pennies and supports our fundraising, we’ll hopefully be able to do that and help Bluebell Wood support families in their hour of need.”
Sally Baker, Community Fundraising Manager, Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re delighted to have the support of Branton Juniors and wish them well on the pitch and in their fundraising. Our motto at Bluebell Wood is ‘living with love and laughter’ and every penny raised can help our families to do just that.”
