Vintage fairies in demand at Bluebell Wood

Would you like to put your once-loved vintage tree decorations to great use?

Christmas tree vintage fairies

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is stocking its ebay site in the run up to Christmas and asking people to donate vintage fairies and any other decorations that might otherwise gather dust in a loft.

With ornate fairies fetching £25 to £30 each on ebay, South Yorkshire’s only children’s hospice is on the hunt for items like these to boost its fundraising. Every penny raised will help to support children and young adults across the region with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions.

All goods donated will be sold either on ebay or at one of Bluebell Wood’s nine shops around the region, helping the charity raise funds to support families facing the toughest of times at Christmas and all year round.

Sue Brown, ebay Sales Administrator, Bluebell Wood, said: “Giving your unwanted vintage decorations to Bluebell Wood is an all-round winner. It helps people to de-clutter, raises money for a valuable cause and gives these decorations another lease of life in a new home over the festive season.

“If you’re thinking about where to shop for Christmas, Bluebell Wood’s ebay store is a treasure trove. From gift ideas to quirky retro items to vintage sporting books, there’s a good chance we will have just the thing you’re looking for.

“Last year we made well over £7,000 in the run up to Christmas and we’d love to do even better this time, to help our families make special memories together, both at our hospice and in their own homes.”

To donate your vintage fairies, festive decorations, clothes, toys or any other items, please take these to your nearest Bluebell Wood shop in either Bakewell, Chapeltown, Chesterfield, Dinnington, Hellaby, Rotherham, Sheffield, Wombwell or Worksop. There is also a clothing and bric-a-brac donation station at the hospice in Cramfit Road, North Anston.
