Worksop Half Marathon will raise funds for children’s hospice

Thousands of runners will help to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice at the Worksop Half Marathon this Sunday.

The fun-filled Halloween Half Marathon on 25th October will see keen runners take to the streets of Worksop.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice were also a charity partner last year and will again receive a percentage of the money raised at the Worksop Half Marathon. The North Anston based hospice needs to raise over £3m a year to keep its doors open.

The charity will also be providing a secure bag drop for any runners who wish to leave their belongings during the run, for which any donations will go towards Bluebell Wood.

Melanie Rose, community fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “Our hospice is genuinely filled with love and laughter; it is a place where we can create special memories for our families.

“Our highly specialised care team look after children with a vast range of complex medical needs and we support the whole family on their life journey.
