Volunteer for us and you can learn new things, meet new people and know you’re making a difference. You can give as little or as much time as you like. A full list of our current volunteer roles is available further down the page.

We are currently looking for volunteers in a number of areas. For details, please read the role profiles below:

George the Mascot – We want someone with a sense of fun to dress up as our mascot at events.

Housekeeping – We need help at the hospice on Friday afternoons.

Community volunteer – assist our Fundraising Team with fundraising tasks and event support.

Shop volunteer – Sheffield, Hellaby, Dinnington, Chapeltown, Chesterfield and Bakewell shops. Take a look at our shop locations.

Shop Volunteer Cleaner – required at our Chesterfield shop (any day).

Kitchen Volunteer– Help needed on Monday and Wednesday evenings (4.30-6.30) and Saturday and Sundays (9.30-12.30 and 12.30-3.30)

Research Volunteer – to support the Fundraising and Communications teams in contacting organisations which could be of help to Bluebell Wood.

Please note that we will take up DBS checks (where appropriate) and references.

Unfortunately there is limited public transport to our hospice.
