Why volunteer?

We'd love you to volunteer for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

Without our volunteers, we simply couldn’t provide the services we do. Their help allows us continue to offer care and support to our children and young adults.

Volunteering roles range from helping at our hospice; befriending, helping in the Care Team, gardening, housekeeping, catering, administration and reception to volunteering in one of our shops, helping at our events, or even holding your own event!

We are proud of each and every one of our volunteers, who dedicate the time they can, in a way that suits them. They volunteer in an hourly, weekly or monthly basis and what they all have in common is the ability to make a huge positive impact on the way Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice supports children and families in the region.

We are here to also give something back to them too. Whether that be gaining new skills through their time with us or making new friends, each volunteer is important to us and we will support them with what they need.

We also appreciate the number of corporate teams who volunteer their time for Bluebell Wood. There are a number of ways they help.

“The best thing about being a Bluebell Wood volunteer is the people. I have made so many friends since I started volunteering, and the staff really make you feel like part of the team.”
Janet explains why she likes volunteering on Reception at Bluebell Wood.
