Why volunteer?

Volunteer Bluebell Wood

Without our volunteers, we simply couldn’t provide all the services we do. Their help allows us to offer care and support to our children and young adults.

Our volunteers help at our hospice; in the Care Team, gardening, housekeeping, catering, with admin and on reception. They also help out in of our shops, at our events, or even hold their own events!

We are proud of each and every one of our volunteers, who dedicate the time they can, in a way that suits them. They volunteer on an hourly, weekly or monthly basis and what they all have in common is they make a huge positive impact on the way that we support children and families across the region.

Our volunteers do so much wonderful work for us but we know they get lots out of their efforts too. When you volunteer with us you’ll learn new skills and make new friends.

“The best thing about being a Bluebell Wood volunteer is the people. I have made so many friends since I started volunteering, and the staff really make you feel like part of the team.”
Janet explains why she likes volunteering on Reception at Bluebell Wood.
