Are you ready to tackle the waters at Bluebell Wood's exhilarating Dragon Boat Race - proudly sponsored by the Loadhog Foundation - on Saturday 9th July?

Bluebell Wood will be at Manvers Lake this summer ready to cheer on your team as you take to the choppy waters to raise funds for families and children who need us. 

The event is free to spectators and they'll be lots of family fun activities. From face painting to games, amusements to food stalls, there will be something for everyone!

About the boat race

  • Teams need at least 18 paddlers plus one drummer
  • Each team will take part in timed heats, with the three fastest teams going head to head in a dramatic final!
  • To take part, participants must be over the age of 12 (minimum height 130cm)
  • Team entry is £500 per boat

FAQS

Q: How are the boat races organised? 

Each team will take part in timed heats. The three fastest overall teams will then go head-to-head in a dramatic final to place in 1st, 2nd or 3rd

Q: Who can take part in the boat race? 

Anyone! Our boats enable businesses, community groups, schools, friends and families of all sizes to get involved in the fun!

 Q: Do I have to pay to spectate the race?

It is FREE to come and spectate, however, you will be required to pay for parking.

There will be children’s games, amusements, face painting and other attractions and stalls to enjoy. We will also be running a barbecue, food stalls and a bar.
