A kind-hearted local business which has raised over £25,000 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice has made a very special delivery to the charity – a brand new car.

Thanks to vehicle logistics company Quinns Car Transport, Bluebell Wood will have exclusive use of a sleek and shiny new Suzuki Swift for the next two years.

The car, complete with Bluebell Wood’s trademark purple logo, will help cut transport costs for the charity and be used regularly to visit families, supporters and volunteers across the region.

A spokesperson for Quinns said: “We are proud to have supported Bluebell Wood, a charity that’s very close to our hearts, for a number of years."

“We decided that providing the use of a car would be a fantastic way of helping them support families both in the hospice and out in the community.

“We would like to say a special thank you to Tony Dent from B&B Vehicle Contract for sourcing the car and as always providing us an amazing service.

“Keep your eye out for the car – you can’t miss it!”

Quinns Car Transport, based in Kiveton Park, have supported Bluebell Wood since 2015, raising over £25,000 through a variety of fundraisers.

Rachael Dawes, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive this extra special delivery, which is a very welcome addition to the Bluebell Wood team.

“Quinns have been fantastic supporters over the years and we’re consistently taken aback by their generosity."

“A huge thank you to Quinns and everyone who’s supported their amazing fundraising for all your support – it really does make a huge difference to local children and families who are going through the most difficult of times.”

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice cares for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. The charity currently supports over 300 local families, both in the North Anston hospice and in family homes across the region.
