Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice has thanked Howells Solicitors for its “passionate and long-standing” support after the Rotherham-based firm celebrated its 40th anniversary.

As part of their birthday celebrations last month, Howells presented Bluebell Wood with a cheque for £1,000, which is the culmination of a summer of fundraising for the charity.

The Howells team raised money for their ‘charity of the year’ by holding raffles in their Sheffield and Rotherham offices, and taking donations for a luxury hamper and giant teddy at the Rotherham Show.

Howells is also an official drop-off point for ‘Bag It for Bluebell’ and is supporting the charity’s Auction of Promises and many other initiatives.

Sharon Lockwood, a partner at Howells and dedicated brand ambassador for Bluebell Wood, said: “I am very proud to be an ambassador for Bluebell Wood and also thrilled that my passion for supporting the amazing charity is reflected in my professional career.

“Howells is committed to raising vital funds for the charity and the whole team here are very supportive by helping to raise awareness of the charity’s life-changing work.”

Dave Hall, Corporate Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’d like to thank all at Howells for their passionate and long-standing support. It really does make a huge difference to the children and families who are going through the most difficult of times.

“We’d also like to wish Howells a very happy birthday as they celebrate their 40th year.”

Ross Holliday, Marketing Manager at Howells, said: “Howells are passionate about supporting Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, not only in a financial capacity by raising money, but supporting the business development of the organisation.

“We have also built fantastic relationships with the fundraisers and we look forward to continuing to support them however we can.”
