Rotherham United bring festive cheer to Bluebell Wood A special festive visit from Rotherham United helped put smiles on the faces of children and families at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. The players and coaching staff took time out from preparing for their upcoming match against Fleetwood Town to spread some festive cheer at the North Anston hospice. The Millers were given a tour of the hospice, before chatting and posing for pictures with children and families, handing out plenty of presents along the way. Rotherham United manager Paul Warne said: “As the people of this town and beyond are well-aware, Bluebell Wood is an incredibly special place which we are lucky to have on our doorstep. “We were once again honoured to be invited out to see our friends there again this year and were delighted to take them up on their offer as we continue to offer our support to their fantastic work. “I hope that the presence of some of my players and staff helped to bring a smile to the faces of staff and patients alike this Christmas.” Anna Gott, Community Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “It’s always a pleasure to welcome the Millers to Bluebell Wood and I know the children and families really enjoyed meeting them. “We’d like to thank all at the club for taking the time to come and see us, and for all the lovely presents. “Best of luck on Saturday – we’ll be cheering for you."
