All the fun of the family pantomime came to a children’s hospice in time for Christmas.

Boos and cheers were ringing out when Starlight Pantomine brought music, dance and laughter to children and their families at Bluebell Wood just a few days before Christmas.

The Starlight Pantomime cast, who gave an hour-long performance of Dick Whittington and His Cat, have been touring children’s hospitals and hospices around the UK. The team is part of Starlight Children’s Foundation, a national children’s charity dedicated to brightening the lives of children and teenagers living with life-threatening or life-shortening conditions.

Emma Doughty, Head of Family Support and Wellbeing, Bluebell Wood, said: “The show definitely put the biggest of smiles on everyone’s faces, and made some great memories for our children, young adults and their families.

“It’s not always easy for children with a range of needs, or their families, to get to the panto, so for this fantastic show to come to Bluebell Wood was really special. We had a really fun time and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Starlight for bringing a bit of Christmas magic to us.”
