Tiny tot Phoebe is raising vital funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice as part of the charity’s inaugural Big Bluebell Wood fundraiser week.

Phoebe, aged just two-years-old, is helping her mum Jo, Centre Manager of Play Valley, Rotherham to raise as much as possible for the much-loved local charity. Phoebe and other children are raising money simply by having fun at Play Valley’s “Big purple party” on Friday 22nd July. The party will include fun party games, a disco, a jumping pillow and lots more besides, all raising money for Bluebell Wood.

Jo, Phoebe’s mum said: “This is the first time Phoebe has done any fundraising and she loves helping me to plan the event and the raffle prizes. She has been keeping check of all the things we have planned for the main event and gives it her seal of approval if she thinks other boys and girls will enjoy it. She also loved coming to Bluebell Wood with me to collect the collection buckets and balloons too.”

Ruth Wallbank, Regional Fundraising Manager at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Phoebe and Jo for getting involved in the Big Bluebell Wood fundraiser. Play Valley’s Big Purple Party sounds like such a lot of fun, and we’re so grateful for their support.”

“Bluebell Wood is all about creating treasured memories for families, and we’re sure children will create lots of happy memories of their own at Play Valley on the day! Every penny they raise will help us create more memories for local children and families.”
