It’s such an exciting time at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and I’m really proud of how far we have come over the past two years and where we aim to be in the near future. I’m really looking forward to what will be a crucial year for the hospice and we are working towards an ambitious income generation plan to support the £6.5m running costs this financial year.
With only 16% statutory funding confirmed for the next 12 months, it is important we have a long-term funding plan that is sustainable, and we are optimistic about our future growth.
Fundraising remains ever challenging with the need to be innovative, creative and unique in the way that we generate income. Over the years the landscape of fundraising has changed which also means the activities and campaigns we offer to engage supporters has to be focused towards the right audiences.
We continue to rely heavily on the the local community and businesses across our region to support us in raising vital funds needed to continue our uncompromisable service. We have achieved so much during the past year with valuable partnerships like Rotherham United Football Club and Henderson's and we can’t wait to tell you more about upcoming collaborations and opportunities to get involved with.
My ongoing thanks will always go to our loyal and dedicated supporters and volunteers. You are all part of our #TeamBluebell.
Thank you.
