About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults whose lives are just too short; and their families. We are currently supporting over 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more.  It costs £4.8 million to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. We receive around 9% of our funding from government sources.

Supporter Care:

  • Supporters are at the heart of everything we do and so we are now to develop this area and recruit a Admin Apprentice (Supporter Care) to deliver excellent supporter care and ensure the voice of our supporters is heard across the organisation
  • We are a busy and caring team. We’re looking for someone to join our busy but fun Supporter Care team. You’ll interact with teams across our Fundraising department, and help make our supporters feel extra special
  • You’ll play a pivotal role in our supporter processes, to ensure our supporter’s gifts are effectively and efficiently facilitated and ensure that supporter gifts are handled with care and processed efficiently
  • Delivering accurate and compliant supporter records
  • This role provides a combination of administration and customer service support

The role:

The role will work independently or as part of a small supporter care team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative processes. The responsibilities of the role are to support, engage and interact with supporter/customers and different areas of the organisation. With a focus on creating and nurturing positive relationships with our supporters to enhance their experience, ensuring they feel valued throughout their supporter journey.

This administrative role will contribute to the effective working relationships between the Fundraising and Finance Teams, through clear processes and procedures, working across teams and resolving issues as appropriate.  It’s a fast-paced role which demands high attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills on the phone.
