About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 300 families, both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our vital support services include end of life treatment and care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more.  It costs more than £4m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 10% of our funding from government sources.

The challenge:

We are seeking to appoint a creative and dynamic Digital Media Assistant to join our busy Communications team.  You will be responsible for sharing our key messages across a wide variety of digital media, and making sure our messages reach the desired audiences.  You’ll use engaging and innovative ways to reach new audiences and build on our strong social media following.

The role:

As our Digital Media Assistant your role will include making sure we’re responsive and up-to-date on all our current social media channels and our website.  You will be responsible for writing and sending all our e-newsletters, and for creating content for our digital internal communications.

You’ll generate high quality engaging images for our website and social media channels.  This role includes an out-of-hours social media rota.

The requirements:

You will be a highly motivated, passionate and committed professional, with 1-2 years digital marketing experience. We’re looking for someone with the skills and vision to use and grow our digital media tools, so a background in digital communications is essential for this role, preferably gained in the voluntary or fundraising sector.

In return, we can offer you a fantastic working environment, company pension scheme, UK Health, free parking, 33 days annual leave, discounted meals and the satisfaction that you are providing a much appreciated service.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we value everyone who works with us, embrace individual differences and recognise that great things happen when we work together.
