Losing a child is the hardest thing anyone will ever have to face, but when you’re at Bluebell Wood you won’t have to do it alone. We’re here to make sure that the end of your child’s life is as comfortable as possible, however you choose to spend your last moments together.

Whether you’re coming from hospital, or from home; when you arrive at Bluebell Wood, we‘ll get you and your child settled into your own bedrooms and our Care Team will be with you to answer any questions you have.

The hospice has two ‘end of life’ suites named Primrose and Forget-Me-Not. These both have a parents’ bedroom, a bathroom, a lounge area and small kitchen, and a child’s bedroom, as well as a private garden. This means you see your child any time you want, day or night, and have the time and space you need to say goodbye.

Our Care Team can help you make special keepsakes, including hand and foot moulds and memory boxes. We will be there whenever you need to provide emotional and practical support through this very tough time.

During your stay you can have as many visitors as you want, and your friends and family are free to stay overnight or for a meal.

Our team will always be on hand to help with any funeral or other arrangements, and our Counsellors are there if you need someone to talk to.
