About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more.  It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government sources.

You will be supporting the Head of Facilities and Estates in overseeing the day to day delivery of all facilities services, co-ordinating team activity and will also recruit, develop and supervise a team of volunteers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and support to deliver our core team objectives.

The requirements:

You will have excellent organisational skills, a keen attention to detail and the ability to adapt to change and challenges positively, efficiently and effectively, ensuring all planned and preventative maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner and that all service contracts are in place and reviewed as appropriate.

You must have a good working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and best practice to ensure that our buildings and estate are serviced, maintained and operating to high standards of health and safety at all times.

In return:

We recognise that our staff team are our greatest asset. We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
