A mum-of-two is fulfilling her children’s dream of visiting Harry Potter World after bagging the £1,000 jackpot in Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice’s lottery.

As someone who ‘never wins anything’ long-standing Bluebell Wood supporter Jennifer Smith was gobsmacked when the letter bearing the news dropped through her letterbox.

“When I first opened the letter I just thought to myself, is this for real?” said Jennifer, from North Anston.

“I know people often say they never win anything, but with me it’s true! I literally never win anything so this is a first for me.”

Jennifer is using the unexpected windfall for an all-expenses paid trip to London with her children, Isaac and Lucy.

“We’ve booked to go to Harry Potter World and spend a few nights in London so we’re very excited,” she added.

“Isaac and Lucy have always wanted to go to London but we’ve never got round to doing it, so this is the perfect excuse for a holiday.”

There is a £1,000 top prize up for grabs every week through Bluebell Wood’s charity lottery.

For as little as £1 a week players are in with a chance of scooping the jackpot or the runner up prizes of £100, £50 or £10.
