I first heard about Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice when joined TQ Environmental in November 2018. As Bluebell Wood is TQ Environmental's chosen charity, I thought I would contribute and do my bit.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice care for children with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. They also help families make the most of every moment together.

Did you know it costs £11,000 every day to keep the doors of the hospice open, and 90% of this has to be raised by people like you and me?

I am not an adrenaline seeking kinda person, I booked this one lunchtime after reading a bit about the charity and ways to fund raise. I haven't thought too much about what the challenge entails and I don't intend on doing until the day. My aim is to turn up on the day, have a quick drink for courage and smash this out of the park whilst raising a lot of money for Bluebell Wood.

I hope my approach and attitude towards this abseil challenge inspires someone else to take a day out of their year to do something to raise money for their chosen charity.
