Keen golfer Tracey Warwick knew exactly which charity to set her sights on during her year as Women’s Team Captain at Chesterfield Golf Club…

She was determined to fundraise for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, where her daughter had gained valuable experience for her nursing career.

My daughter is now a children’s cancer nurse at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. During her training she completed a placement at the hospice. We thought it would be exciting to support the fantastic work it does,” said Tracey, 54, and works as the governance and safeguarding lead for Anchor Hanover, a not-for-profit care and housing organisation.

Tracey raised £1,889.81. She added: “Team members and friends took part in the hospice’s Colour Dash last summer, we’ve staged social events and even done some knitting and crocheting to raise money. We’ve also grown and sold herbs and my husband Andy and I completed Dry January for sponsorship.”
