About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 290 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much, much more.  It costs more than £4m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 10% of our funding from government sources.

The role:

This is a new, varied and interesting role with an opportunity to build and shape the information technology infrastructure at a time of significant change and development within the hospice.  You will be responsible for combining ongoing operational delivery and strategic transformation which will see you take control of our IT infrastructure and be the main point of contact for end to end IT services at the hospice.  You will develop and install, manage and make improvements to our systems and network combining responsibility for existing IT capability, development and delivery of services, developing and executing on future IT strategy.

The requirements:

To fulfil the role effectively you should have experience across a breadth of IT functions including infrastructure, operations and service delivery, with demonstrable knowledge and experience of Cloud based technologies.
