£26,325 to £32,732 dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week - Part time may be considered

About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 290 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much, much more.  It costs more than £4m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 10% of our funding from government sources.

The role:

Our Nurses are at the heart of the outstanding care we offer to children and young people with life-shortening conditions at our hospice in North Anston, as well as in family homes.  We want our nurses to spend quality time with each child and their family so that we provide truly personalised and holistic care and have lots of fun along the way.

We are expanding our care team and have vacancies for experienced children’s nurses. We invest significantly in personal development, have clear career progression routes and our purpose-built hospice offers a fantastic working environment that is genuinely filled with love and laughter.

The role of Children’s Nurse will involve working shifts in-house and being part of a service that delivers care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  As a result of this the job will involve working unsocial hours including bank holidays, nights and weekends.

The requirements:

As a Children’s Nurse you will be expected to be qualified to RN Child or RSCN with a current NMC registration.  You will have post qualifying experience of working with children and young adults with complex health needs and experience of using end of life care pathways to deliver bespoke packages of support. You will have the ability to provide and evaluate care according to complex needs and in collaboration with all other agencies involved.

In return, we can offer you a fantastic working environment, company pension scheme, UK Health, free parking, 33 days annual leave, discounted meals and the satisfaction that you are providing a much appreciated service.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we value everyone who works with us, embrace individual differences and recognise that great things happen when we work together.
