We’re incredibly proud of the work our ambassadors do to help spread our message of love and laughter. They come from all walks of life but all of them go the extra mile in support of children and their amazing families. Would you like to meet them all?

Chris North

Chris works for Barclays Bank in Doncaster as a Business Manager, and his tireless fundraising and volunteering in support of our hospice for several years has helped to raise tens of thousands.

“I think it’s important to support Bluebell Wood because they make a difference to many families when they’re at their most vulnerable.”

Natalie Cosgrove

Natalie is a specialist clinical negligence solicitor at Switalskis Solicitors and a former president of Sheffield and District Law Society. She has actively supported us since she chose us as one of her two charities of the year at the society, raising £5,500 in 2017.

“I defy anyone to walk into the hospice and not come out without having a giggle, and experiences that change you.”

Alex Gibbons

Alex works for Buchanan & Co Solicitors, which has supported Bluebell Wood with ‘Make a Will’ months over several years. These months have led to around £1.5 million in bequests to our hospice.

“I’m honoured and humbled by the invitation to become an ambassador and will do whatever I can to promote Bluebell Wood’s best interests.”

Will Vaulks

Will plays for Cardiff City and asked us if he could volunteer when he played for Rotherham United. He worked at our hospice every week, volunteering with the fundraising team, and also supporting the care team that looks after our families.

“It’s a privilege to do my bit for such a worthwhile cause. When I first came to Rotherham United I became aware of the valuable work Bluebell Wood did for families facing the toughest times of their lives. I feel like part of the team and I am determined to keep supporting the children’s hospice any way I can, and keep in touch with some really special people I met. Bluebell Wood will always be in my heart.”

Ian Johnson

Ian is part of the Insight team, who have helped raise fantastic sums in support of our children. He’s been key in encouraging his colleagues and contacts to take on some amazing challenges with him too.

“The word ‘hospice’ brings pictures of a sad place but Bluebell Wood is at the other end of the spectrum. I had the privilege of meeting some children, who actually told me that they look forward to their visits. I think that says it all.”

Emily Granger

Emily works as a Group Financial Analyst at Greencore Group in Barlborough. The amazing team there have supported Bluebell Wood for many years.

“I’ve seen first-hand what a difference support makes to Bluebell Wood and its children and families, so I’m delighted to take this one step further by offering my time to this amazing charity.”

Sharon Lockwood

Sharon is a partner at Howells Solicitors. The fantastic team at Howells have done everything from raffles to bake sales and the firm also donated £3,000 to our hospice.

“I know the hospice relies on public support to provide dedicated care and support to families, so I hope I can help let even more people know about the services the hospice offers”

Ryan Rhodes

Ryan is a former professional boxer. He held the British light-middleweight title twice, from 1996-1997 and again in 2008, and the European light-middleweight title from 2009 to 2010.

“I’m really and truly honoured to be an ambassador for a great charity.”
