Retail and Online Administrator

National Living Wage 

20 hours a week across 5 days (Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work )

About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more.  It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government sources.

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Retail team, supporting the Head of Retail in delivering all administration tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the retail operation in line with policies and procedures.

This role is a business-critical position at the heart of the retail operation.

Key responsibilities for Retail and Online Administrator

  • To provide a high standard of administration which is accurate and reliable, managing the administration workflow to maximise benefits to the retail team.
  • Provide a first response to enquiries from shop managers, volunteers, and the public, resolving queries where possible and escalating or re-directing to others as appropriate.
  • Provide effective communication to shops, Head of Retail and Heads of departments which is both effective and timely.
  • Assist with the administration relating to online selling operations.

The requirements:

You will have experience in all aspects of administration, working in a fast-paced environment.

To provide a high standard of administration which is accurate and reliable, managing the administration workflow to maximise the benefits to the retail team.

You’ll be a confident communicator with a positive attitude, good written skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers and customers of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

You’ll have comprehensive knowledge of and the ability to use Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word and Excel) at an intermediate/advanced user level.
