Becoming a purple pub is all about having fun and raising money for local families, by turning your pub purple!

How can I become a purple pub?
We’re looking for local pubs and clubs to support our exciting Purple Pubs campaign, by turning purple and raising funds for local families. We’ll provide you with everything you need to make your fundraising a success - from beer mats and bunting for your bar, to promotional banners, t-shirts and posters (all in the colour purple) to help advertise your fantastic fundraising.

How long do I need to fundraise for?
It’s completely up to you when you take part, and for how long - you can turn purple for a week, a month, or more if you’d like!

How much do I need to raise?
There’s no minimum amount you need to raise as a Purple Pub, however, it’s a good idea to set yourself a fundraising target.

What can I do to raise funds for the hospice?
Whether you simply ask your regulars to ‘buy a round and donate a £1’, or turn your next quiz night into a charity competition, when it comes to fundraising for the hospice, there are so many ways to get your staff and patrons involved.

Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

  • host a pub quiz night
  • raffle one of our chocolate explosions
  • selling a special ale? donate a percentage of the profits to the hospice
  • get competitive and hold a darts, snooker, or pool competition
  • get active with a charity football match, or a sponsored walk or race night (ending at the pub of course!)
  • organise a delicious charity pie and pea supper

Our dedicated Fundraising Team are here to help you every step of the way. We can supply you with Purple Pubs promotional material, as well as create individual posters for your events. We’ll also offer you social media and PR support too. Hopefully together we can not
only raise funds and awareness for the hospice, but also make a real positive impact on your business and patrons too.

If that sounds like fun, then let us know by contacting your local Community Fundraiser on 01909 517 365.
