Facilities Coordinator

About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more.  It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government sources.

The role:

To work as part of our busy facilities management department, ensuring the provision of a safe, secure, clean, healthy, and high-quality environment for the children, families, staff, and visitors to our premises

From 1st April 2022 all direct care provision and/or close contact roles at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice require full COVID vaccination as a Condition of Deployment.

The requirements:

To fulfil the role effectively you will have experience of PPM’s, statutory maintenance and practical hands-on maintenance within a hospice, educational or care home environment and hold relevant qualification(s) in any building trade discipline or have the equivalent experience / knowledge.

A Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety Regulation & Fire Safety Regulation is essential.

You will have great customer service skills, able to communicate with children and families who may have complex needs, staff, contractors and visitors to our premises.
