Meet Phil - he volunteers in Bluebell Wood's HR department once a week, providing admin support and lending a helping hand with different projects.

He started to volunteer with the hospice as a way to seek more experience in HR - with the added bonus of giving back to a local charity providing vital services to children and families.

He said: "My favourite part of volunteering is coming to the hospice.

"It's such a positive environment and everyone is so friendly and appreciative of any support that is given."

"I really enjoy being a small part of it. Bluebell Wood is a wonderful place, full of great people and the care and support that is provided is nothing short of amazing. It feels very rewarding to support a children's hospice. I love volunteering with Bluebell Wood and hope to carry on for many more years.

"I have benefited lots from volunteering. I have gained knowledge and learned new skills. The HR team have supported me and given me lots of advice with projects that I am doing in my regular job. I have met lots of new people and been able to volunteer at some great events."
