A day of fun has seen children, families and staff at a Clay Cross nursery raise over £420 for Bluebell Wood.

Stepping Stones Day Nursery raised £423.05 at its fun day, which included a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and a tombola. Staff from a local Tesco held a fresh fruit stall to promote healthy eating and Skye from Paw-Patrol dropped in to say hello.

Staff at the nursery chose Bluebell Wood because they know several families supported by the hospice.

Emma Spick, Deputy Manager, Stepping Stones Day Nursery, said: “We would like to thank Bluebell Wood for being such a great charity to work with, and to thank all our families, old and new, for their continued support. We hope that the money will help make a difference to Bluebell Wood children and their families.”

Lucy Rathbone, Community Fundraiser, Bluebell Wood, said: “We’d like to thank every single person who got involved in the fun day at Stepping Stones to raise an amazing amount for Bluebell Wood. Every penny really will help our families to make special memories together.”
