Bluebell Wood’s Business Expo has been hailed as a huge success for the second year in a row, raising £5,225 for the children’s hospice.

An assortment of the brightest and best businesses from across the region enjoyed a day of networking, relationship building and the chance to promote their brands thanks to the hospice’s fundraising team and support from the business community, including event sponsors Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

With a roving magician, inspirational speakers, games area and hourly exercise energisers, there was plenty of fun to be had too.

As well as bringing likeminded businesses together, the event raised all important funds needed by Bluebell Wood to support children and young people with life shortening conditions.

David Krushell from Evolve Your Digital attended the Bluebell Wood Business Expo. He said: “Attending the expo has raised our profile in South Yorkshire and I’m glad we are able to support Bluebell Wood.

“To other businesses thinking of supporting Bluebell Wood, I’d say ‘do it’. The footfall at the expo has been impressive, there was over 30 exhibitors and I do think we’ve got more connections. I’d definitely come again.”

Ruth Wallbank, Regional Fundraising Manager at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing supporters in the business community for making our Business Expo a huge success.

“It was a pleasure to bring together businesses and individuals from across the region and it means so much that they did so in support of Bluebell Wood.

“The children, young people and families are at the heart of Bluebell Wood. Thanks to everyone who attended the Business Expo, we can carry on supporting them.”
