Three enthusiastic employees from Chesterfield business, Mortgage1st, are set to take on the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K on Sunday 24th March to raise funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Bluebell Wood is Mortgage1st’s chosen charity for the second year running. As well as the team doing the Chesterfield 10K event, the Mortgage Brokerage company will be organising a charity football tournament in June and a golf tournament in September. Last year’s football tournament was a huge success, raising £2,589.51.

The Mortgage1st team running the10K are Sarah Cave, Sophie Weaver and Faye Dawson

Sarah wanted a new running challenge after completing the Rebrik Foundation 5K a few years ago and hopes to get over the finish line in a time of around one hour. She said, “I was ready to take on a new challenge and knowing that it would mean helping to raise money for the amazing Bluebell Wood, I just couldn’t say no.

“After visiting the hospice and seeing the fantastic work that everyone does, we’re looking forward to raising lots of money for Bluebell Wood.”

Courtney Beddingham, Regional Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said, “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Sarah, Sophie, Faye and all the team at Mortgage1st for taking on the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K, as well as all the other amazing support they have planned for Bluebell Wood. Every penny they raise will help us be there for families at the toughest times imaginable.

Best of luck for the race. We can’t wait to cheer you over the finish line!”
