Download our strategy document here Our services Our uncompromisable support services are wide-ranging and bespoke to each family. We provide symptom management, end-of-life care, post-death care, short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and more. We support families across a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families, staff and volunteers to use. Every year we need to raise £6.7m to keep our doors open and only around 17% of our income comes from government sources, the rest must be raised through fundraising activity. The Role: We are seeking qualified staff nurses who want to be part of our Care team. You will be working as part of a supportive team consisting of nurses, nursing associates, care support workers and other health professionals. You will provide a high standard of evidence-based care and be able to balance opportunities for children to experience play, social interaction and learning alongside meeting the diverse and complex nursing needs of the children supported by Bluebell Wood. Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, taking responsibility for clinical decision-making and ensuring care is evidence-based and outcomes-focused Develop, review and contribute to advance care plans in partnership with families and the multidisciplinary team. Lead aspects of care delivery within a shift, contributing to the safe running of the clinical area Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and role modelling of high-quality care Supervise, support and develop Nursing Associates, students and Early career employees, ensuring safe delegation and competence Key Attributes: Excellent communication, Resilience, and flexibility are essential for success in this role.
