Volunteer role: One-off Volunteer at Meadowhall Supercar event

Volunteer supervisor: Events Fundraiser / Regional Fundraisers

Days/times: Sunday 26th May 2024- either all day (8am-5pm) or for one of our shifts which are either 8am-2pm or 12-5pm.

About this role:

We're recruiting volunteers to help at our annual Supercar event, which last year raised more than £32,000 for the hospice! We have lots of different roles on the day which are listed below. You'll get to enjoy free access to the event whilst having a fun day out, be part of a big team of volunteers and gain experience for your CV without making a long term commitment. All whilst having the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to raise vital funds for your local children's hospice!

Once you've signed up we'll send you exact instructions of where to meet us on the day. You'll be provided with guidance and a volunteer agreement to sign ahead of the day. Then just turn up on the day and we'll show you exactly what you'll need to do and answer any questions you have.

It costs around £5 million a year to run the Hospice, so we rely on our events volunteers to help raise vital funds so we can continue to be there for families who need us - we hope you'll join #TeamBluebell for the day.

“The staff at Bluebell Wood are so friendly, positive and welcoming. As a young volunteer, I felt nervous about joining a team who were far more experienced than I was. But on my first day [at an event], I was made to feel like I belonged - my ideas and efforts are always valued.” – Isha, Events & Fundraising Volunteer
