Volunteer role: One-off Volunteer at Sheffield fans Derby event

Volunteer supervisor: Events Fundraiser / Regional Fundraisers

Days/times: Thursday 2nd May 2024. 5.45-9.45pm

About this role:

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice are the chosen charity for this years Sheffield Fan's Derby event on Thursday 2nd May 2024. This is a 90 minute football game played at Hillsborough stadium between Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United fans. We are looking for volunteers to help us from 5.45-9.45pm with various tasks on the day such as marshalling, selling programmes and raffle tickets, running a tombola and helping to run a half time game on the pitch. Volunteers will also get a free ticket to watch the game!

Key tasks:

Below are a range of roles that you might be asked to help with on the day:

  • Bucket collecting
  • Selling programmes and raffle tickets
  • Running a tombola
  • Helping with admissions
  • Running a half-time game on the pitch
  • Marshalling

    General

    Bluebell Wood volunteers are asked to:

    •      Be a minimum of 16 years of age.  
    •      Abide by Bluebell Wood policies and guidance, including our Health & Safety policy.
    •      Co-operate and liaise with colleagues.
    •      Act in a professional manner at all times.
    •      Be polite and respectful to everyone you meet whilst volunteering in this role.
    •      Act as an Ambassador for the Bluebell Wood Charity.
