Sheffield property professionals have taken to the pitch to raise over £5,000 as part of this year’s Master Cutler’s Challenge.

People from property and construction consultancy firm Monaghans and commercial property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton joined staff from Bluebell Wood for a match at Bramall Lane that raised £5,142.

The fixture at the Sheffield United ground is one event organised by Monaghans this year as part of the 2018 Master Cutler’s Challenge, which sees companies across South Yorkshire compete to raise money for the families supported by Bluebell Wood.

Monaghans’ Regional Director Tan Khan said: “It was a great back and forth match with both sides giving a good account of themselves. Some great goals on either side saw the game end in a charitable 2-2 draw, and a penalty shootout led to Lambert Smith Hampton’s LSH All Comers claiming victory on the night. The real winner though was Master Cutler Ken Cooke’s chosen charity for 2018, Bluebell Wood.”

Russ Hall, Corporate Fundraiser, Bluebell Wood, said: “We’d like to say a huge thanks to Monaghans for organising the match and everyone who donated before and during the game. Our motto at Bluebell Wood is ‘living with love and laughter’ and this support will go a long way in helping our families do just that.”
